He said: “Hey Tim Dillion, I’m much better now that the ladies are back from space, thank you”

“It was very profound. I don’t know if you’ve seen Katy Perry talk about it, but she’s basically a guru now,” he said.

Additionally, he also sarcastically referred to Perry as a “guru,” poking fun at her emotional reflections about the short space journey.

Rogan Mocks the short Flight and its “astronaut” status

Joe Rogan took jabs at how brief the mission was.

He also sarcastically noted the daisy didn’t even wilt during the 11-minute trip to the Kármán line.

“She brought a daisy, which is super important. It shows you how quick the flight was,” Rogan said. “The dead daisy that’s like snipped from its life source was still alive or still vibrant.”

Additionally, Rogan also questioned the legitimacy of the crew being labeled astronauts.

FAA Guidelines Cast Doubt on Astronaut Title
Despite media headlines, Perry and the crew may not qualify as astronauts under official FAA criteria for commercial spaceflight.

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy weighed in, stating that the automated flight doesn’t meet the standards required for astronaut designation.

The FAA defines astronauts as individuals who contribute directly to mission safety or the advancement of spaceflight during their journey.

“Let’s celebrate female astronauts because a lot of men astronauts, they have to go to school, they have to learn to be a pilot first, then they have to join the Air Force or the Navy and then get appointed by NASA,” Rogan said.

Co-host Tim Dillon acknowledged past female astronauts. However, Rogan pushed back, warning against lowering the bar for space travel achievements.

Katy Perry responds to criticism with emotional reflection

After the flight, Katy Perry described the experience as life-changing and second only to becoming a mother in terms of personal importance.

She kissed the Texas ground after landing, a gesture that drew mockery from the public—and even fast food chain Wendy’s, which asked if she could be “sent back.”

Still, Perry stood by her choice to fly.

She said that she hoped to model “courage, worthiness, and fearlessness” for her daughter and fans.

Despite his jokes, Joe Rogan admitted he’d consider flying with Blue Origin, but only on a short journey—not deep space exploration.

“I wouldn’t go to space-space, but I would do the 80 miles,” he said, referring to the altitude reached by Perry’s crew.
