It seems not everyone was pleased to see Queen Bey walk away with the sought-after country accolade

We’re only an hour into this year’s Grammys, and already it sounds as though tensions are running high.
Minutes ago, Beyoncé was awarded the Best Country Album award for her 2024 studio album Cowboy Carter – much to the dismay of one fellow artist, Kacey Musgraves, apparently.

For her album Deeper Well, Kacey wasn’t just up against Queen Bey, but also the likes of Post Malone, Chris Stapleton and Lainey Wilson in the highly sought-after category.
It ended up being Beyoncé’s year, however, and award presenter Taylor Swift went on to reveal that she’d bagged the accolade.
The camera then panned to the nominees that hadn’t won, with viewers believing Kacey didn’t look too pleased to have lost out.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), one claimed to observe: “Kacey is not having it! HAHAHAHAHAHA”.

“No because why did Kacey Musgraves look P****D”, another added, as a third went on: “kacey looks fuming.”
And another wrote: “Kacey Musgraves was not too happy with Beyoncé’s win.”
It was always expected that Queen Bey would walk away with an award or two this year, with her country-esque album having been shortlisted for a staggering 11.

The Grammys viewers ‘left in tears’ over heartbreaking Liam Payne tribute during award show
The One Direction singer tragically died in October after falling from third-storey hotel balcony

Liam Payne has received a special tribute at this year’s Grammy Awards.
Live from the Crypto.com Arena in Downtown Los Angeles tonight (2 Feb), the former One Direction star – who tragically fell to his death from a third-storey hotel balcony in October 2024 – was the focus of an emotional tribute.
The 31-year-old was staying at the hotel CasaSur in Buenos Aires, Argentina last October, where he was supporting former bandmate Niall Horan on his South American string of concerts, when he fatally fell from the balcony.

Fans initially wondered whether Payne’s former One Direction bandmates would pay tribute to him (Kevin Mazur/WireImage)
A UK inquest earlier this month confirmed that Payne‘s death was caused by ‘polytrauma’ – which refers to multiple traumatic injuries – after which the hotel’s manager, a receptionist, and a friend were charged with manslaughter. A hotel employee and waiter have also since been charged with supplying cocaine.
In the weeks that followed, tributes from fans and friends flooded in – including from each of his One Direction bandmates, all of whom also attended his funeral in November.
The event was also attended by the likes of his girlfriend Kate Cassidy, his former manager Simon Cowell, presenter pal James Corden, Payne’s former partner Cheryl Tweedy, and their eight-year-old son.
Despite mass speculation ahead of the tear-jerking moment during tonight’s 67th Grammy Awards, Ben Winston – a former friend to Payne and his 1D bandmates – confirmed that Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles and Niall Horan would not be performing together in honour of their fallen brother.
He confirmed, however, that the evening’s schedule would include a general tribute. Take a look here:

In a special segment to ‘remember those we’ve lost from the music industry this past year’, Grammys host Trevor Noah then introduced several clips of late performers, beginning with Payne, as Coldplay’s Chris Martin took to the stage.
Payne could be heard saying in a pre-recorded VT: “We never expected any of this to happen – I sit and think, ‘Oh, we’ve actually done something amazing’.”
The segment has since left fans heartbroken, with one writing on X (formerly Twitter): “the tribute to liam really has me bawling :(( seeing stuff like this and it still just doesn’t even feel real.”
Another wrote: “the in memoriam segment starting with liam payne got me”.
“The Liam Payne tribute at the #GRAMMYs just hurt my heart all over again,” a third went on.

The segment began with a tribute to Payne (The Grammys/CBS)
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Winston previously explained: “It is a very difficult time. Losing Liam was very, very tough. No doubt about it. But, no, there will be no One Direction performance.
“He was the most beautiful, wonderful boy and I love him very, very much. He is in, of course, our In Memoriam, without question.”
Winston – who worked with the band on their music videos for the likes of ‘You & I’, ‘Midnight Memories’ and ‘Night Changes’ – also revealed how Payne’s death affected he and his colleagues.
“Actually that is a very sad thing for me — when you are going through rehearsals and seeing the clips and a guy that was sat in this office four weeks before that tragedy happened,” he admitted, adding that an In Memoriam for his friend is ‘not something’ he’d ‘ever have imagined’.
“It is extra sad for people — not just me who loved Liam, but for many,” he went on.Featured Image Credit: Gareth Cattermole/Getty Images

Jaden Smith fans ‘work out’ reason behind unusual outfit for Grammys
The ‘Karate Kid’ singer appeared on the red carpet to support his nominated sister Willow Smith

We’re only minutes into the 2025 Grammy Awards, and already, Jaden Smith has set tongues wagging.
The actor rocked up to the festivities in Downtown Los Angeles to support his hit-making little sister Willow – who herself is up for several awards – where he was dressed as a literal castle.
As we say, 26-year-old Karate Kid actor Jaden’s sister has bagged a handful of nominations at this year’s ceremony – including Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical for her compilation Empathogen.

Willow Smith is up for several awards (Francis Specker/CBS via Getty Images)
“I’m just excited for the whole thing, bro,” Willow, 24, told Vogue Australia ahead of the awards. “I’m excited for people to hear what I can really do and how I’m stretching and pushing myself to become a better musician.
“I want people to hear it and feel loved and feel understood. And like they’re not alone, because they’re not.”
Jaden and Willow will also be joined by their Fresh Prince of Bel Air father Will Smith, with the trio already having been spotted on the red carpet.
Unfortunately for Willow, however, it sounds as though her big bro has somewhat stolen her thunder, by donning an outfit reminiscent of a castle.
Along with his tuxedo, Jaden opted for a headpiece which included a tower, with a tiny cut-out hole for his face.
His outfit has sparked mass discussion online, with some fans believing they’ve discovered what the young star may have used as his inspiration for the unconventional look.

Jaden Smith channels his inner Willem Dafoe at the #Grammys
“Jaden Smith at the Grammys referencing Willem Dafoe,” one wrote on X (formerly Twitter), as another added: “Jaden Smith channels his inner Willem Dafoe at the #Grammys”
For those out of the loop, in 2023 Spiderman actor Dafoe rocked up to a GQ Italy shoot centred on the notion ‘Home Is Where Your Head Is’, where he was famously pictured wearing a similar, black headpiece – a castle with a cutout.
It’s not believed that Dafoe will be turning up to the festivities – but by the look of Jaden’s get-up, he’ll be here in spirit.
As always, live from the Crypto.com Arena in Downtown Los Angeles, this year’s ceremony will see the biggest names and the richest talent in the music biz battling it out for an accolade and a spot on the Grammys hall of fame.
Trevor Noah – South African comedian and writer – will once again host this 67th ceremony tonight, marking his fifth year in a row as lead presenter.
The ‘big four’ categories – Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best New Artist will see gal pals Sabrina Carpenter, Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Cardi B and Chappell Roan go head-to-head, alongside the likes of Kendrick Lamar and Benson Boone.

Representing the Brits across the pond in this year’s leading categories are Charli XCX, Raye and The Beatles.
Sabrina Carpenter has already won the first Grammy of 2025 in the Best Pop Solo Performance category ‘Espresso’.
And following a very Brat summer, Charli XCX has bagged the likes of the Best Dance/Pop Album, and Best Dance/Pop Song for her lead single Von Dutch – both marking her first ever Grammys as a solo artist.
Doing it for the boys, Kendrick Lamar has also been awaited three consecutive prizes already – Best Rap Song, Best Rap Performance and Best Music Video.
It’s expected that Queen Bey will walk away with an award or two this year, with country-esque album Cowboy Carter having been shortlisted for a staggering 11.
The festivities will also see several huge-name stars performing live – including Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga, John Legend, Sheryl Crow, Cynthia Erivo, Shaboozey, Shakira and Teddy Swims.Featured Image Credit: Phil McCarten/CBS via Getty Images

Taylor Swift fans figure out meaning behind subtle detail on Grammys dress
The ‘Anti-Hero’ singer was without her NFL beau for tonight’s festivities
He might not be there in-person, but Travis Kelce is still somewhat present at this year’s Grammy Awards – having been incorporated into the outfit worn by girlfriend Taylor Swift.
The ‘Cruel Summer’ singer and six-time nominee rocked up to the Crypto.com Arena in Downtown Los Angeles earlier tonight (2 Feb), donning a hot-red mini dress, an aspect of which seemingly gave a specific shout-out to her NFL beau.

Earlier his evening, the musician was seen on the red carpet donning a sparking hot-red mini dress which paired perfectly with her lengthy golden locks and rouge lipstick.
And later in the ceremony, the 36-year-old was sitting alongside Wicked actress Cynthia Erivo, and The Substance star Margaret Qualley.
Sadly, however, Taylor is tonight without her sportsman beau Travis Kelce – who is usually seen by her side during big-name ceremonies.
It turns out, it’s the Kansas City Chiefs star’s busy schedule that have kept him away this week ahead of next weekend’s Super Bowl finale following an impressive victory against the Buffalo Bills last week (26 Jan).
Next Sunday (9 Feb), Travis and his team will take on the San Francisco 49ers in just a matter of week, and naturally, need all the practice they need.
As we say, however, though his professional endeavours has prevented Travis from attending this year’s awards physically, his hit-maker girlfriend Taylor seemingly still found a way to bring him along with her.

Travis was unable to attend the festivities (Brooke Sutton/Getty Images)
Zooming in on snaps of her outfit, a batch of eagle-eyed Swifties noticed that the flame-red dress incorporated some chain detail amid the slit of her upper-thigh.
And by the looks of things, a T-shaped charm has been included on the chain – possibly paying homage to Taylor’s missing man.
Sharing a snap of the singer on X (formerly Twitter), one penned: “HELLLOOOO?!? THE MINI DRESS?! THE ‘T’ CHAIN ON HER THIGH?!?? THIS SERVE!!!”
In the comments, another fan gushed: “The details are EVERYTHING”
“This look is EVERYTHING!!! The details, the sparkle, the confidence—queen behavior,” a third gushed.
Another went on to jibe: “The real easter egg”.
“i just fell to my knees omg – so obsessed with the entire look!!” another fan wrote.

Why Travis Kelce didn’t attend Grammys with Taylor Swift
The ‘Anti-Hero’ singer was seen at the Crypto.com Arena sitting with Wicked singer Cynthia Eviro and The Substance actress Margaret Qualley

Taylor Swift’s favourite night of the year has finally rolled back around – that’s right, it’s the 2025 Grammy Awards.
Despite being nominated for a staggering six accolades tonight (2 Feb), tonight’s festivities may prove somewhat bittersweet for the ‘Cruel Summer’ singer, being that she’s without other-half Travis Kelce.
But where exactly is the NFL star? And what could have been so important that it prevented him from attending his girlfriend‘s big night?

As we say, this year’s show will likely be a special one for Taylor Swift, who could be on track to break her own record for the most Album of the Year wins – something she achieved last year with accolade No. 4.
Her track ‘Fortnight’ with Post Malone is also up for three Grammys, and she’s nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance Grammy for her ‘Us’ with Gracie Abrams.
Earlier his evening, the musician headed to Downtown Los Angeles for the festivities, where she was seen on the red carpet donning a sparking hot-red mini dress which paired perfectly with her lengthy golden locks.
However, in a sad rarity, Taylor is tonight without her sportsman beau – who is usually seen by her side during high-profile events and star-studded ceremonies.
The 36-year-old was instead seen sitting alongside Wicked actress Cynthia Erivo, and star of The Substance Margaret Qualley.

Travis is instead preparing for this year’s Super Bowl (Brooke Sutton/Getty Images)
Apparently, though, Travis had warned Swifties for a while that he wouldn’t get a chance to appear at the Crypto.com Arena due to his bustling American football schedule.
Following an impressive victory against the Buffalo Bills last weekend (26 Jan), the 36-year-old tight-end secured himself and his Kansas City Chiefs teammates a spot in next weekend’s Super Bowl finale.
Travis will take on the San Francisco 49ers in just a matter of week, and naturally, need all the practice they need.
So, really, we can’t beef him too much.
Later on tonight, Taylor will go head-to-head with the likes of gal pals Sabrina Carpenter, Beyoncé, Billie Eilish, Cardi B and Chappell Roan in the ‘big four’ categories – Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best New Artist.
Sabrina Carpenter has already won the first Grammy of 2025 in the Best Pop Solo Performance category for her feel-good hit, ‘Espresso’.

And following a very Brat summer, Charli XCX has bagged the likes of the Best Dance/Pop Album, and Best Dance/Pop Song for her lead single Von Dutch – both marking her first ever Grammys as a solo artist.
